BrakeMaster™ 9100 and 9160 for Motor Homes with Air or Air Over Hydraulic Brakes

RoadMaster BrakeMaster

If your motorhome has hydraulic brakes you need the BrakeMaster™ 9060.

The BrakeMaster™ is a 'direct' proportional braking system that connects directly to your motorhome's brakes and applies your towed vehicles brakes just as your motorhome brakes are applied.

Included with BRAKEMASTER™ 9160 is the BRAKEAWAY™ system which works in conjunction with your BRAKEMASTER™ to bring your towed vehicle to a safe, controlled stop should it ever separate from your motor home.

Why do I need the BrakeMaster™ System?

SAFETY! Your stopping distance is greatly increased by the added tonnage of a towed vehicle. The BrakeMaster™ significantly reduces this stopping distance, helping to prevent a costly accident. When driving in heavy traffic, down steep grades or in panic situations, the BrakeMaster™ will help you control your stop while significantly reducing your stopping distance.

IT'S THE LAW! Nearly every state specifies that you must have brakes on any trailer that exceeds a certain weight. This varies by state but is usually between 1,000 and 3,000 lbs.

MOST COACH BRAKES ARE ALREADY AT CAPACITY. Towing a few extra tons is a burden your motor home brakes are not designed to handle. That's why almost all motor home chassis manufacturers state that you will void their warranty if you tow more than 1,500 lbs.

HELPS PREVENT BRAKE WEAR AND BRAKE FAILURE. Driving down long, steep grades can cause excessive heat that is aggravated by the weight of the towed vehicle. This can result in severe brake wear, brake fade, or even brake failure. The BrakeMaster™ helps prevent this dangerous possibility.

What makes the BrakeMaster™ System better?

  • Unlike most other systems, the BrakeMaster™ is a truly proportional braking system. As you brake harder, the towed car brakes respond in direct proportion
  • The BrakeMaster™ brakes all four wheels of the towed car
  • Works on vehicles with or without ABS brakes
  • Easy hook-up in seconds
  • Meets braking requirements for the U.S. and Canada
  • Monitoring system indicates proper performance and braking
  • Works with all motor homes and cars (car must have power brakes)
  • Backed by Roadmaster™ - The leading manufacturer of tow bars and towing systems
